1. Pies & Coffee

You’ll be spoilt for choice at this family-friendly joint, with its assortment of all-day breakfast sets like Croissant with Smoked Salmon, Scrambled Eggs ($11.90) and Croissant with Turkey Ham and Cheese and Scrambled Eggs ($8.90). If you’re up for something sweet, there is also good ol’ Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Butter ($6.90) or the tantalizing Hazelnut Banana Pancakes ($8.90) drenched with dark and velvety hazelnut sauce.

If a brunch set is too heavy for you, check out the café’s savory pies, all going for $7.90 each. Each pie is baked to a crispy and buttery crust topped with rich gravy, making it a comfort food like no other. Try meat options like the Wagyu Beef Cheek Pie, Steak and Nacho Cheese Pie, or Charcoal Crust Curry Chicken Pie; or non-meat options like the Mushroom Ragout Pie.

And of course, what is brunch without a satisfying cup of coffee or tea? Complete your meals with a traditional Latte ($5.90) or a soothing Chai Latte ($5.35) that never disappoints or treat yourself to a special concoction of Crème Brulee Cappucino ($6.90).

2. Lucca’s Trattoria

Lucca’s Trattoria spices up the brunch experience by giving you an authentic European escapade with its gingham table clothes and rustic furniture. It’s open every day, including the eve of Public Holidays and Public Holidays, so if you’re looking for a classy way to start off (or end) any day of the week, come on down to Lucca’s!

Here, premium ingredients from Italy are crafted into hand-made pastas and pizzas, using closely-guarded recipes. It’s pizza dough is made from a centuries-old family recipe and baked-to-order in the open kitchen, ensuring its fresh all the time.

Try all-time favourites such as the impeccable Vongole Vino Bianco ($26), the Carne pizza ($21/$26) – a meat-lover’s fantasy; or Lucca’s delectable risottos. And when in Italy – do as Italians do! Treat yourself to a cup (or two) of espresso or cappuccino at the end of your meal.

3. Wine Connection Cheese Bar

For another unconventional brunch experience, check out Wine Connection Cheese Bar. Offering over 40 matured farm cheeses air-flown from Europe, this swanky spot is a cheese addict’s paradise! 4. Wine Connection Tapas Bar & Bistro

If you can’t get enough of Wine Connection’s splendid offerings, head on to its Tapas Bar & Bistro where there are fuller set lunches, with wide selections of pastas, pizzas, and lunch classics. You can also enjoy a relaxing ambiance with its stylish retro interiors made of bricks walls, a mix of leather sofas and metallic chairs, and rustic wooden tables.

5. Amber Nectar

For many, booze is not just a good-to-have, but an essential pairing for the meal to be complete. So if you’re the type to chug it up, come lounge in this laid-back bar with an alfresco area, and catch up with your clique over a variety of imported, freshly tapped German beers. If you prefer to savor these artisanal brews in the comfort of your home, Amber Nectar offers four different take-home beers bottled in beer growlers. Beer growlers are customized bottles made of tinted brown glasses that keep out UV rays so that the beers stay fresh and frothy. You can even bring back your growler from Amber Nectar for refills – it stores up to 1.89 litres/ four pints! While downing these delicious beers, don’t forget to fill your bellies with Amber Nectar’s authentic German platters!

You’ll find an extensive and authentic range of Japanese liquors from Orihara Liquor Shop & Bar, and delectable yakitori (grilled chicken-on-stick) dishes from Shirokane Tori-Tama Yakitori. These two outlets share a unit so you can enjoy a slow evening sipping on a selection of Nihonshu (rice wine) or Umeshu (plum wine), while munching on funky but tasty grilled chicken. Orihara Liquor Shop & Bar is the overseas flagship branch of Orihara Company Limited Japan, so you can expect nothing less from its liquor offerings! The warm ambience also makes for a romantic evening or the ideal night out with close friends.

7. Teppan Bar Q

Eat and be entertained! Teppan Bar Q sure knows how to titillate your tastebuds as its chefs whip up Teppanyaki meals in full view of diners. While tasting quality grilled meats and seafood, you’ll get to watch the magic that goes into these Japanese-Spanish fusion delicacies. The Chamber (#01-16) is open from 5pm to 2am on Sat and Sun; and from 4pm to 1am from Mon to Fri.
